Charging Charlie - By the end of our trip Charlie got off the Chairlift by himself without any help and graduated out of the "Edgie Wedgie" making perfect snow plows all by himself. Charlie's favorite activity was "snowballing" and often we'd have to bribe him to do "one more run" if he'd be able to snowball.(To Snowball - def. Snowball making and throwing, preferably at Mom or Dad)
Although Mom had lofty ideas about teaching the boys to ski entirely by herself, the help of our fabulously amazing instructor, Evan, was invaluable. As is the plight of all parents everywhere, our children take instruction from others far better than they do from us. Evan had the boys smiling and laughing and skiing, really skiing - within an hour.
Might Mac - Mac was the youngest little guy on the slopes, with the exception of one day when we ran into a 2 year old, but he wasn't really skiing, he was being held up between Mom's legs. I always smile in amazement at the littlest little skiers on the hill, but it was really special to be smiling in amazement and have it be my own child. Macalan loved to go fast, we hard pressed to get him to stop for us. Even the magical Evan gave him the "what have you" to which Macalan replied, "the the guy on the swings (chairlift) was telling me to "Go, go, go!" His initials MPH are not lost on his personality. He's clearly a thrill seeker - heaven help us int the teenage years.
