We had play time on the play ground where Charlie will start Kinder in 2 weeks, then we were off to the beach to enjoy one of the few warm summer days we've had this year. The sand was like mud and the boys were in heaven. The quickest 3 hours we've spent in a long time. Many smiles and wonderful summer day memories.
Can I even type it without tearing up? Let's see...
Only 3 weeks until Charlie starts Kindergarten.
Whew. Did it....barely.
Yes, Charlie will start formal school in just 3 weeks, the very same day Macalan will start back to preschool in the 4 year olds, "Lions" class.
I'm showing both boys nothing but enthusiasm, though we have had conversations about the things that may be confusing or difficult just to open the door if there are concerns. But so far - all systems go.
Feeling blessed.
Heaven help me if our little guy was reluctant. I think I'd be hard pressed not to give him the nod, grab his hand and run for the hills.
